Job Summary

The Construction Superintendent will hold a supervisory role for the on-site day-to-day operations of the project. The Superintendent is responsible for field coordination of every aspect of the project and holds the keys to scheduling, making sure each trade is on schedule and on budget. The Superintendent works hand-in-glove with the Project Manager and Operations team to keep the project rolling as smoothly as possible.

Qualifications

• • 4+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in the commercial and multifamily construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • OSHA certification is required
  • Have 3 positive and supportive client references for whom you have worked for in the past 5 years.

Roles & Responsibilites 

• • Serve as the primary interface with Clients, Subcontractors, Architects, and Engineers, professionally representing ELITE Construction and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Manage and supervise construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
  • Oversee daily construction operations, taking overall site management and leadership responsibility.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations team to ensure submittals and clarification responses remain current.
  • Communicate project progress, milestones, and reports effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Supervise all on-site trades and personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and coordination.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold construction standards.
  • Monitor compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings with all trades to reinforce best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain daily reports with pictorial documentation of progress and issues.
  • Utilize Sage Construction software for project management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Prepare project status reports for the ELITE Team.
  • Effectively communicate, organize, plan and execute project plans.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance and successful project execution.

Capabilities/Key Competencies:

• • Thorough knowledge of interior and exterior ground-up construction from pre-construction through completion on projects.
  • In depth understanding of construction plans, MEPs, take offs, and blueprints.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Construction, PlanSwift and Microsoft Office.
  • Skillset of Construction Management, Estimating, Planning, Reporting, and Communication with Team.
  • Efficient organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Familiar with a variety of construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Lead and direct the work of subcontractors on-site.
  • Develop, Manage, and Forecast a budget for projects.
  • Ability to maintain schedule and timeliness of the project from pre-construction through close-out.
  • Strong conflict management and resolution – foreseeing possible areas of conflict in advance and resolving conflict quickly and efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

• • Prolonged periods on construction site, including physically carrying job materials on occasion.

Schedule:

• • 40 Hour Workweek Minimum (Monday to Friday)
  • Weekends as needed
